Outrage Imperialism

Outrage Imperialism (defn): The outrage of many people in the developed world at events, institutions, and practices that those in the developing world are largely untroubled by or recognize as costs worth bearing. Often, but not always, associated with practices from the developed world’s own past that many people in the West now believe are unacceptable for everyone, even though forcibly eliminating them would harm those the Westerners claim to be helping through their outrage.

See, for example: Cecil the Lion, sweatshops, pollution, large families.
