New Gig at Salon
Salon Magazine frequently features articles about libertarians and libertarianism, but these articles paint libertarianism in the most uncharitable light possible. However, to their credit, the editors genuinely want to produce accurate criticisms. They don’t intend to strawman libertarianism, and they’re looking for ways to do better.
On that note, I just finished negotiations with Peter Finocchiaro at Salon, and, starting early May, when my teaching obligations are over, I’ll be writing a bi-monthly column called Free’s Company, in which I 1) try to explain the libertarian take an an issue in way that Salon readers will find sympathy for, and 2) answer the top objections from readers from the comments section. I guess Salon figures that you need to keep your friends close, but your enemies closer!
