NEW ACADEMIC SOCIETY! The Philosophy, Politics, and Economics Society.
I’m delighted to announce an exciting new Society that will be of interest to readers of this ‘blog: The Philosophy, Politics, and Economics Society
Its webpage is here: http://ppesociety.web.unc.edu/
Membership is free, and promises a host of intellectual benefits!
From the Society webpage:
The PPE society’s mission is: to encourage the interaction and cross-fertilization of three intellectual disciplines that are, in their history, deeply intertwined and that now, and going forward, have much to offer one another.
Affiliated with the American Philosophical Association, the PPE Society’s first event will be at the Eastern Division Meetings of the APA, to be held in Washington D.C., January 6-9, 2016. Professor Cristina Bicchieri, the S. J. Patterson Harvie Professor of Social Thought and Comparative Ethics at the University of Pennsylvania, will be giving a talk on “Norms in the Wild” and Professor Jerry Gaus, the James E. Rogers Professor of Philosophy at the University of Arizona, will be commenting.
